Canada Student Loan Forgiveness

OICC students may also be eligible for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness to borrowers who work in eligible occupations in eligible communities. Loan forgiveness applies to the outstanding part of your federal loan only.

The federal government provides Student Assistance in the form of loans and grants to help part-time students from Nova Scotia access post-secondary education. This program has recently been enhanced to make studying while working more accessible than ever.

Students are required to apply for Nova Scotia Student Assistance full-time funding and Canada Student Loan Forgiveness every year.
